This is an Executive Summary of Professor Atkinson’s research. It will be validated and peer reviewed in an article which Professor Atkinson will submit to the Journal of Traumatic Stress for publication in the autumn.
Evaluation
Gardening Leave has commissioned the Mental Health Foundation to externally evaluate the 2 projects Gardening Leave opened in 2010 at Erskine Hospital and The Royal Hospital Chelsea.
Wellbeing, mental health symptoms and cost-effectiveness are being measured and evaluated by Mental Health Foundation Researchers using nationally recognised scales. An Interim Report will be available from Head Office from early 2012.
