Another year, another medal!

Our show garden at this year’s Ayr Flower Show won a Silver Medal and we also lifted the Provost’s Cup just for good measure.

Our theme for the show garden in this Homecoming Year was the Saltire and we paid homage to Robbie Burns with a display of haggis, ‘neeps and tatties which was incorporated into one of the 4 sections of the saltire..

It goes without saying that this was a real team effort and a Big thank You must go to all the veterans who made it happen – to Peter and Stevie for the original concept and the wonderful design, to Ian for building it and Gavin, Fraser, Jimmy, Shugg, Bobby and all the other veterans who painted, lifted, bundled heather and created such a terrific garden.

Well done us and here’s to next year’s garden which Les says must be very simple and stress-free in the creation – I think we all second that!!!!
