Gardening Leave is delighted to announce that we have been named as runners up in the Sunday Telegraph Gardening Against the Odds Awards 2011. The awards celebrate those gardeners who ‘face mental and physical obstacles as well as an inhospitable environment’ and whose valiant efforts deserve recognition.
Gardening Leave Chief Executive Anna Baker Cresswell has said: “This is great news and I’m really excited that Gardening Leave’s hard work at the Royal Hospital Chelsea has been acknowledged in this way. Starting anything new from scratch is always a challenge but everyone’s hard work and perseverance has paid off. Veterans are unique and wonderful people. We can never do enough.”
